To get an unbiased picture of our readers, in 2005 Oregon Home commissioned Readex Research, a nationally recognized independent research company, to survey our readers. We learned some interesting things:

Fact: Oregon Home readers are affluent (our readers' average household income is $150,000, more than three times the Oregon average).

Fact: Oregon Home readers have nice homes (our readers' average home value is $396,000; 34% of our readers own additional property or a second home).

Fact: Oregon Home readers are into remodeling (75% are planning to remodel or improve their homes in the next 2 years).

Fact: Oregon Home buy high-end furnishings and fixtures (98% rate quality and durability as an important factor when shopping for furnishings; 92% rate style and aesthetics as important — price came in a distant third, at 67%).

Fact: Oregon Home readers are motivated by our magazine (88% took action as a result of reading Oregon Home).
